Butter mochi, mmmmmm!

Comments

I LOVE yummy baking smells! And this is one I've never tried. I'll have to give it a go!
Ok, I need to make some of dat! {I love how you type like you talk, it is one of my favorite things about reading your blog} anyways, where do you get mochiko flour? I'm going to be thinking about it all day now.
I think Fry's or Walmart might carry it in the oriental food aisle. Actually I didn't type the recipe that way. . . the lady who contributed it to the recipe site did. I think that's so funny how she did that. Also expect it to be sticky and gooey like sticky rice. Mochiko is rice flour so it has the consistency of rice. It's a little crispy on top and gooey-sticky in the middle. The ends of the pan are my favorite parts because it's more crunchy. I hope you like it, if not don't feel bad the texture is an acquired taste.
i've tried to make butter mochi, and i dunno. never comes out right. i'm giving up!
girl before you give up try this recipe. I swear it's so easy even I didn't go wrong with it and I'm not a great baker at all.
So is it a sweet bread type dish? I'm totally checking out Mochiko flour next time I'm at Wally's. I love getting great recipes like this. Thanks!
It's not a bread it's in a world all it's own. It's a Japanese dessert with buttery twist. It's almost a custard but it's not a custard. You'll see!

mmmmmmmmmmm!! i'm trying this TONIGHT!! I LOVE BUTTER MOCHI!!! Mahalo mamas!!
